hello;
I have a Win98 with IE 6;
I have done: Tools--%26gt;Internet Options --%26gt; Security
--%26gt; Custom Level --%26gt; Scripting --%26gt; Active Scriptive --%26gt;
Prompt ;
then if I go to any site I DO get the appropriate pop-up
telling me that I have scripting disabled; Good;
HOWEVER, when I try my own page.htm:
%26lt;html%26gt;
...
%26lt;script type=''text/javascript''%26gt;
alert(''javascript is turned on'');
%26lt;/script%26gt;
...
%26lt;/html%26gt;
I do not get the default pop-up as I thought that I would;
Instead I get my alert box, which I should not get if JS is
disabled;
any thoughts??
thanks
dsdsdsdsdhow to disable javascript for testing
I solved my problem:
I was disabling scripting but only in the 'Internet' zone,
whereas I was testing on my local machine, so the disable/prompt
settings were not effecting my webpage;
