I want to use CF on a site I do development on. The server it
exists on says I can't because ''Our servers are all linux-based, so
we wouldn鈥檛 be able to install Coldfusion on them.'' Is this
really true?
Thanks!
LindaCan CF install on linux based server?
Not true - all my servers are Linux based and have CF
installed. Can CF install on linux based server?
Ok, I thought so.
I am thinking that the guy who told me this either really
doesn't know that it can be installed OR really doesn't want to
install it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can give him
the info he needs to do this, or maybe some other suggestions on
how to proceed?
THANKS!!!
Hi ellen4566,
CF setup comes separately for linux , solaris and windows .
If u want to install the CF on linux you have to get the setup of
CF for linux . After getting the CF setup for linux , you need to
install it by root user on linux m/c . Its easy to install
:)

The procedure for installing CF on Linux is described in the
manual. If
that is not enough, please be more specific in your questions
so we can
better answer them.
