Do I need to upload templates and library items in order for
the pages linked to them to work properly? I did deleted them from
the remote site and the pages seem to still be OK.
If I don't need them on the FTP then why does DW go to upload
them automatically?
Thanks,

No. They have no function on the server. They only mean
something to DW as
you are running it.

%26gt; automatically?
It doesn't.

really?? man, all this time i thought the templates had to be
uploaded too. of course, now that i know, it makes perfect sense.
i hate it when stuff makes me feel like a noob again! but i
suppose i'll probably always feel like a noob compared to the likes
of Murray.
Pah. I'm such a noob - I just copy and paste well! 8)

Hi Murray,
My DW is automatically uploading the library and template
folders when I do a synchronize. I had to cloak both these folders
so they won't upload anymore.
Do you know what happened?
Thanks!
When you do a synchronize, all non-cloaked folders will be
uploaded. I
rarely use synch for this reason.

Even if I just ''put newer files to remote'' it goes to upload
the template and library folders. It wasn't always doing this so I
had to cloak these folders. I can't figure out why all of a sudden
this is happening.
