HTML links

Hi,

Flash CS3

I've got a swf that contains html links. It's text links so I
just selected the text and entered the correct anf full URL in the
properties panel. The links work fine from the swf files, but when
I put the swf file into a website or run the html file flash made,
the links do not work.

I sent the files to the client and he has the same problem,
so it's not just on my end. When I use IE, nothing happens. When I
use firefox, an alert box appears saying the swf is trying to carry
out a potentially harmful action by accessing the website.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

I think you're encountering a flash player security
restriction. a local swf file is prevented from connecting to an
online location by default. If it works fine in the Flash authoring
environment when you do a test movie then it will work once you
upload the files to the server.
