Program NOT Responding when I hit the stop recording button.
I Have tried on several desktops both using Windows XP. The
cameras I have tried have been Logitech Messenger and Microsofts
Lifecam 6000.
Interesting enough it did once work on the Logitech Webcam
once on just one Desktop and never on the other one. Has anyone
else had this Crashing issue? Is it with Webcam compatibility or
something else? Any way around it?
ThanksFME Crashes when you Stop Encoding
We are having exactly the same problem with several cameras,
and FME2, talking to an FMS application that worked just fine with
FME1.
After adding some server-side debugging code, our FMS app is
never receiving any indication that FME2 is attempting to stop.
FME2 just locks-up.FME Crashes when you Stop Encoding
I am experiencing same problem i see the atatus connected,
webcam also gives message capturing. but after clicking start
button screen comes halfway and everything becomes white and
program stops responding.
Its causing lo of problem. i have hired a flash media server
2 hosting. Otherwise everything wrks fine but when i want to do it
through encoder it causes problem.
Same issue here. Just downloaded a newer revision. It not
only locks up, but I can't even stop the task using Ctrl+Alt+Del. I
have to reboot.
I got this to work without a cam from my home machine.
I also get this to work with a web cam but had to reload the
application from the FMS admin panel- while the application was
recording! It breaks and restarts the stream (but keeps the time
code running after the application restarts-weird). When I do this,
I can stop recording without FME2 locking up. Not very
practical.
Help! This is a new bug going from version 2 from 1 i think.
Clicking stop hangs FME, also if you click the close box and click
yes to exit fme, the app appears to go away but its still running
as a process. If You kill the process you're back in business, but
I'm using FME in a deployed environment where FME is closed by a
VBScript, and I can't have the user hunt down and kill the process
after each use. also FME doesn't work the next time the app is run
if its still running as a process. Going back to 1 is very
unappealing due to the horrible sound distortion in that version.

More on this topic:
If I disable audio streaming, the streaming can be stopped as
normal. Changing the audio encoder or settings doesn't help.
I can confirm this as well. We have this issue on SOME
encoding machines. Not on all. I assume this is hardware related.
It is either capture card or audio device. We use audio + video
too.
Can you try latest build 2.0.1.1114 which got posted on 20th
Nov on the site
Fantastic! The new build works fine for me now.
Thanks!
